GONE FOR THE SUMMER:)))

Time has been flying by so quickly, and with so much to do, I am left with little time, especially for extra work, and so, for at least the Summer months, this site will have to take a back seat...

Since I caregive, I have a quite full plate already, with at least 2 full households to manage, plus, I recently started an org. which is geared at supplying winter items for the homeless/impoverished/suffering, and am actively knitting to fulfill a great need of providing hope, and some extra comfort for these people, as well as I am working on my book, so, you see, I am overly busy at this time, with even more I could mention...

It is also vacationing time, just finished the first one, and in 2 weeks will be taking another. It is time to enjoy the Summer months, for they are gone before we realize it, only to be faced with the heaviness of Winter...

This is a site I had great hopes for, but, life happens, and perhaps, in the colder months, I can revive the original premise for it, we will see...

I wish each of you a fantastically enhanced, enjoyable, rockin' Summer, and I wish you love, peace, health, and happiness:))))

THE ANCIENT TRIBE WHO DISCOVERED NIGHT LIGHTS...

Long ago, in ancient times, there were no stars in the sky to light the night. The primitive people were fearful of moving at night, as it was simply too dark to do so, and so, they went to sleep as the sun set in the sky...

Tribes often had to move from one location to another, as their food supply would run out, or low, or the weather was better to the South, and so forth. One tribe in particular, was in transition, and was camping by a lake for the night, when it was reported that one of the younger male members was not accounted for. The male tribesmen did not know what to do, as they were so fearful of the dark, and sat in their sleeping skins, pondering the situation...

The Mother of the missing youth was heard sobbing. The males knew that they had to do something, but, still, they were not sure. Another of the youth shouted out that he would go searching, that he was not afraid, which made the elders realize that they had to take action, and so, as they fumbled around, they managed to form a line of themselves, each holding the next ones shoulders, that they would head in the same direction...

They moved slowly, using spears to touch out before them as they could not see what was in front of them. As they were doing so, all of sudden there were many tiny lights surrounding them. They fell to their knees, as they were frightened, and did not know what the lights were, nor, where they had come from...

There were murmurs, and discussions going on about the lights, as one light landed on one of the males hands. He screamed, as when it landed, it lit up brightly. It was a strange light to all of them, and since it was moving around, they could not understand its power...

The male tribesmen moved in on the member who had this strange light on his hand. They could sort of see each other now, and conversed back and forth about this mystical magic which had happened to them. They became so involved in discovering, that they did not realize that it was almost dawn. They had also forgotten about the rescue effort...

As the sun began breaking the horizon, the males were yet fixated on the light. As it grew lighter, they could see that it was some sort of creature. They were so fascinated, that they made grunting noises, and not much more...

Then, they realized that they had forgotten the search for the missing youth, and placed the odd creature in a bag, deciding that they had to search during the morning at least. They travelled for about a mile when they heard voices. The youth they were searching for was before them with some strangers. He was speaking in his tongue, telling the strangers that these were his people. As they came closer together, the tribesmen were taken back by the strangers. They were bright, like the daylight, with shiny yellow hair, and eyes which had no color...

As they met, the youth hugged all his tribal people, as if he were so happy to be reunited. The elders scolded him, and demanded to know what had happened. He told them that the bright people had taken him when he was in the last of the line, as they were in transition. They were kind to him, had fed him, and tried to communicate with him, but, it was tough going. Then, he told them that they had light in the night. All of the tribesmen were perplexed, and did not believe it. He told them to wait until nightfall, and they would see...

Back the two groups headed to the campground. There was much celebration over the finding of the youth. The two groups used sign language, and tried to communicate, though it was far from effective, they did manage to seem to understand somewhat. The male with the odd creature pulled it out of the bag, and the bright men said, "AH, a lightening bug". This did not explain anything to the tribesmen, and it was hard to explain without words, although, one bright man attempted by using signs, and drawing in the dirt. Only the youth who was missing seemed to understand and he attempted to translate, though, there were areas which did not make sense, those areas which the youth had failed to understand himself...

As the day grew dimmer, the bright man went and gathered wood, which caused interest from the tribe. They then placed dried grasses, and other such under the wood, which they had placed in a sort of hole in the ground. One man began rubbing two sticks together, which further puzzled the tribe. He was frantically twirling the two sticks, in which he had placed a piece of flint, when suddenly, it was on fire. This lit up the dried grasses, and smaller twigs, which began a large fire. Everyone was excited, and demanded to know how to do this. And so, the night was filled with teaching the tribesmen how to twirl two sticks to make fire...

Only a couple of the tribesmen got the hang of it, but, they did so well with it, that they built a fire which was so large, that fire reached the sky, and every time the wood sparked, the fire stayed in the sky, and thus, there were now stars in the sky...

This tribe was now empowered, and with this power, ruled the continent, until more bright people came to take the continent away from them, and even so, they could not despise the bright people, for they had given them a gift so precious, so viable, which would guide their way evermore. They taught all of the other tribes the necessary skill of fire, and thus, more stars were added to the sky...

Oh, and about the odd creature who gave off light, the tribesmen found them in abundance, captured as many as they could, and created the first lanterns, which only lasted for one night each, but, they were very happy, as now they had all kinds of light, which prior they thought was impossible. They, to this day, have a feast in celebration of The Great Spirit, the lightening bug, and of fire; each celebration runs for a week, where you can see tribesmen dressed as lightening bugs, or, as flames of fire. Each night of the celebration, which is held in the warmest months, all of the tribes gathered, sleep outside that they can see, and praise, the stars in the sky, for they created them after all, and appreciate the effect of them, so very much...

IT IS SPRING!!!

It is Spring! I can see it everywhere, I can smell it; how awesome are the wonders of this season!

The grass turned green almost overnight, shooting up as if it were racing time. Flowers are peeking through, birds are singing "Hallelujah", the trees have opened their buds, exposing various shades, and hues of green, and there are even flying bugs, plus, the temperatures are rising daily!!!

I know, I make a celebration of Spring, and Summer every year, but, I cannot help myself. Where I live was like a tundra this year, and the time seemed to freeze with the humidity, so, I am more than excited, I am elated!!!

The patio is decked with party lights, patio furniture in place, a new, and larger grill, which has already been used a few times, and this weekend, flowers, herbs, and plants will grace the already excellent setting. Last weekend was actually warm enough to sit out, to bask in the glorious, soul warming sun, leaving its traces upon my winter white skin!!!

Walking season, biking season, Frisbee season, baseball, and softball season, and oh, lots of things to love about this beautiful season!!!

Thank GOD for spring, this season when everything, is new, fresh, and full of life, which helps to alleviate the strife.
Thank GOD for rejuvenation, and rebirth of habitation, for miracles are abloom left, and right, from morning, until the night!!!!
A beautiful planet, called Earth,
Home of our birth,
Has been abused by irresponsibility,
And, is now suffering, though all of it, we might not see.
This Earth Day, take time to consider your part in the whole,
Let us ease some of the toll,
Taken upon the air, the land, the sea,
Please, take time to live more consciously,
That life might go on for many generations ahead,
Let's live in code green, instead of, code red....

ADDICTION TO CREATING...

It is nearing the midnight hour, and the flow begins. The flow of thoughts which inspire fingers to tap the strokes of the keyboard. Those thoughts which might, or might not, be useful, purposeful, or, welcomed by anyone else...

A restless spirit on an endless flight, my imagination comes to life at night, causing me to ponder, then to write, that which I feel, but, cannot verify by sight...

I need to finish the story 'Alabaster Lies', though, for right now, it is best if it lay dormant, for I anticipate something brewing in the context, which just hasn't surfaced yet, but, it will, of that I have no doubt...

A brainstorm for creative people, often includes confusion, as they cannot fully 'see' what is occurring, though, most of us merely go with it, as it leads us to discovery, even if the rough product might need lots of sensible alteration before it is ready. Composers, musicians, artists, writers, poets, and other creative minds are led to producing, usually without 'seeing' the whole of the effort, usually only sensing its importance, and thus, having a need, an urge, a drive to actualize what they do not know, but, are aware of. Does that make sense to anyone but me??? Hahahahaha...

These inspirations are my favorites, for even if I must pull myself out of bed at 4 a. m., and wearily put onto paper what is materializing, it is compelling, mysterious, and intriguing, plus, once it starts to take shape, it is exhilarating, and interesting to view its sort of natural flow to completion. Even this will need work to perfect, but, cannot be ignored, for you will lose the moment, the thought, and possibly an idea of great magnitude. Actually, if you do not respond to this curious awakening of the creative flow, you will lose rest, or sleep anyway, as it will keep infatuating your logical, conscious, and unconscious mind as you lay there...

If I could afford the time, I would write as many hours as my body, and mind would allow for. I love it that much. It is like a freeing of the 'real' me which no one has privy to, and which I cannot express any other way. It is like the seepage of the soul, the release of the emotions, and the thoroughway for the thoughts...

What causes this addiction to creating? Is it intrinsic? I believe it is. Some have developed the taste for it, others, such as myself, have tasted it from birth, and have given into the unrelenting calling from the depths of the being. It is as if there were nothing else as imperative to conclude before breath leaves us, it has to be done, for whatever it is worth, now, or even after...

There are consequences, obstacles, and other factors which come from having such an addiction, still, we are only interested in the final product, then, we can rest. Well, maybe not, though, once a masterpiece of some sort is visible, marketable, and recognized, there is something to show for all of the effort, which for some, is enough, and for others, creates more desire to do yet better. I think that I will relax a bit when it happens for me, then, I will most likely, attempt to produce something even better. After all, this is what I am, and what I do, for better, or for worse...
